Data is synchronised and verified before anything is switched over, so staff continue working throughout.

Deleted items are recoverable only for a limited period, and once that lapses the data is gone. Not under Google’s standard data region controls. Google Workspace data region policies let you designate data at rest for covered services in either the United States or Europe. Australia is not currently offered as a data region option, and processing may occur in Google datacentres globally regardless of the storage region selected. For most Australian businesses this is not a problem the Australian Privacy Principles permit offshore storage where appropriate safeguards are in place. But if your organisation has a contractual or regulatory requirement for data to remain onshore, Microsoft 365 stores core data for Australian-registered tenants in Australian datacentres, and we will recommend that instead.
